These are the general rules covering contests and promotions on KKUS.
Some contest and promotions have rules designed for those specific contests and promotions. Contests are generally open to anyone in the station listening/total service area (as defined by Arbitron). Occasionally, there may be restrictions on participation, which will be announced on the air. Employees of KKUS, participating sponsors, their affiliates and subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, area radio and television stations, their immediate families, and people living in the same household are not eligible to participate in KKUS contests and promotions. Unless otherwise specified, there is no purchase necessary to participate. All contests and promotions are subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws and are void where prohibited or restricted by law.
KKUS will designate judges for each contest or promotion. These judges will determine the winner(s) in all contests and promotions. All decisions made by the judges are final. By participating, contestants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges.
Rules may be changed without notice.
When the winner(s) are determined by random drawing, odds of winning are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received. When a contest or promotion requires on site registration, all entries must be completed, by hand, at the registration point. Entry blanks may not be removed from the registration site and later returned. Participants may enter once per event. KKUS and contest sponsors are not responsible for lost, delayed, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible, or postage due/mail entries, telephone system or equipment failures, telephone line or technical problems, mis-dialings, human errors or acts of God. All entries become the sold property of KKUS and will not be returned or acknowledged.
Only one person per household may win a prize in any KKUS contest or promotion in any 30 - day period. Contestants must use their true, legal name and address when participating in a contest or promotion or risk disqualification and prize forfeiture. If a minor wins a contest or promotion, the prize must be awarded in the name of a parent or legal guardian. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred or assigned. No substitutions or cash awards in lieu or prizes are allowed. Participants waive any and all claims of liability against KKUS, contest sponsors, their affiliates, employees, agents, their families and members of their household from any accident, loss, and/or injury occurring as a result or consequence of contestant’s participation in a contest or promotion and the acceptance or use of a prize awarded in the contest or promotion.
