So now there’s a science as to why earworms get stuck in your head. Earworms are those persnickety songs that just will not go away. The article I’ve posted here explains why certain songs get stuck while others don’t. It also picks Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance as the top earworm.

But there are plenty of country earworms out there. Remember Queen’s Crazy Little Thing Called Love? Well,  every morning, I wake up to Dwight Yoakam’s version on my brain, and it’s always at the verse: “I gotta be cool. Relax. Get hip. Get on my tracks. Take the back seat. Hitchhike. Take a long  ride on my motorbike. Till I’m ready. Crazy little thing called love.” It’s almost like a mantra, a way for me to wake up and face the day. Rare is a morning that I don’t hear that song in my head.

What is your country earworm?
