New Hampshire Pumpkin Breaks Record

Pumpkin on old fence over dead tree, Halloween concept

Think of all the lattes that could be made from this. A New Hampshire man just grew a record-breaking pumpkin that has been dubbed the largest in North America. There’s even a worldwide governing body that measures such sorts of feats, who have bestowed Steve Geddes the honor with his prize-winning 2,528-pound gourd. The Great Pumpkin Commonwealth certified weight at the Deerfield Fair giving Geddes a first-place ribbon and $6,000 in prize money. And while Geddes may have grown the largest in North America, the Guinness world record was set in 2016 by a Belgium man with a pumpkin weighing 2,624 lbs. Have you ever taken part in a record-breaking contest? What did you earn?
