The Top Country Songs That Commemorate The 9/11 Attacks With the anniversary of 9/11 upon us, there were songs that got us through that tough time and helped us to never forget. Alan Jackson’s “Where Were You” had just been written two weeks prior to the country star performing it at the CMAs, it went on to win a Grammy for “Best Country Song” of the year in 2001 Darryl Worley’s “Have You Forgotten”, Aaron Tippen’s “Where The Stars & Stripes & Eagles Fly” and Brooks & Dunn’s “Only In America” also were top country songs after the 911 attacks.
