A second Game of Thrones prequel is close to getting the “Go Ahead” order from the execs at HBO. The network, who broke records for viewership for the finale of the show, would center the prequel 300 years prior to the long-running fantasy series and focus on House Targaryen. This is great news for GoT fans, as the finale left viewers wanting more. News of HBO further exploring the world of Westeros does not come as a surprise though. The show’s writer even posted a blog back in May that HBO was actively pursuing at least 3 spinoffs, so another would be even better. The first of these prequels has been public knowledge for some time. Jane Dolman, writer of Kingsmen, will take the helm as showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff have been contracted by Disney for a Star Wars film. The series will take place thousands of years before the original during an Age of Heroes. Naomi Watts and Miranda Richardson are set to star.

As for the Fire & Blood adaptation, this is no further production news…..but we are all waiting to see what the long winter will bring
